Summer Fireworks Pops Bash

July 8, 2017 at 7:45 pm
Mill River Park in Rockville Centre

Eileen Murphy, Conductor

For many of us, both in the orchestra and in the audience, this is our favorite concert of the year! With our listeners comfortably spread out on the lawn of Mill River Park, the South Shore Symphony, under its long time member, violinist and conductor Eileen Murphy, “lets its hair down” and digs into dance tunes, Broadway favorites, popular songs and, of course, patriotic marches, all as a prelude to a spectacular fireworks display. After the fireworks we settle into soothing mood music for a lovely summer evening.
